Ciliata by Paul Pfurtscheller
Created around 1905 as part of his Zoological Wall Tables series.
The map shows microscopic organisms from the group Ciliata/Infusoria, such as Paramecium , Stylonychia , etc., with anatomical details.
Lithography technique: colors are applied manually, often in multiple printing runs, which produces precise and vivid images.
Material: paper mounted on canvas, with wooden sticks so it can be rolled up.
The map is in very good condition.
Old school maps – windows into the past
With their detailed drawings and soft colors, old school maps brought the world into the classroom. Whether it was a beech tree, a world map, or the human body – these artistically designed teaching aids tell not only about their subject but also about a time when learning was still on the wall.
These beautiful, unique school posters may show signs of wear and tear. We strive to capture these as accurately as possible in our photos.
Colors may differ from the photos in real life.
