HEAVY STUFF Letters
All the letters we sell are used. This means they come from a building or facade. We carefully dismantle both the facade and the letter.
The letters may show signs of wear and tear and sometimes even green deposits from being hung outdoors. This is the natural patina we love so much. We remove spider webs, but this natural patina remains. This is part of the letter's history.
We'll install a new transformer and a cord with a switch for the letters. For indoor use only.
A piece of history
Neon lighting originated in the early 20th century. French inventor Georges Claude introduced the first neon lights in 1910, which quickly defined the streetscapes of cities around the world. From the 1930s onward, neon lettering became particularly popular for shops, cinemas, and cafes. The bright colors and hand-formed glass tubes made each letter a handcrafted work of art. Today, vintage neon letters are beloved design objects that keep this rich history and nostalgic charm alive.
